What do you want to hear about?

Tweet Barry Schuler @BSchuler your suggestions for topics you want to know more about and he’ll do his best to cover them during his Keynote Address at the 2009 Wine Bloggers Conference.

Barry will address bloggers’ Tweeted suggestions and how they may relate to  ”New Technologies and their Application to The Business of Wine.” He’ll be  joining us from 10:30 to 11:15 at the Napa Valley’s Culinary Institute of America on Saturday, July 25th.

Barry’s multimedia firm Medior created interactive technologies for AOL; after Medior was acquired by AOL, Barry worked his way up to be Chairman and CEO of that company. Today, as managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, he’s funding next-thing projects in the tech world. Barry also serves on the board of Synthetic Geonomics and is CEO of Raydiance, which is developing laser technology for healthcare use. He and wife Tracy co-own Meteor Vineyard, located in the Coombsville region of the Napa Valley, with winemakers Bill and Darnine Dyer.

Chris Alden of Six Apart will join us as the Keynote Speaker for Friday’s Dinner. Six Apart has enabled millions of individuals, media companies and enterprises to create blogs and form rich, interactive communities via blogger tools such as Movable Type, TypePad, and Blogs.com.

In the world of blogging, the community is in the drivers seat.  Now where is that more true then at the Wine Bloggers’ Conference.  We’ve opened the voting on session to be held on Sunday for bloggers.  We’re essentially looking to serve educational content and have people walk away with some actionable information.  The target for the sessions is both business and citizen wine bloggers.

We’re excited about the possibilities for sure but we know that there’s more the community would like to talk about then what we came up with!  So we’ve created a UserVoice.com forum for voting on the current topic ideas so we can gauge interest.  The GREAT thing about this is that you can add whatever suggestion you want to it and other can vote on your suggestion along with the current topics!

So head over to the forum and vote for your favorite today.  Once we narrow down the list we’ll take another vote (resetting the votes) to determine attendance and final logistics (larger, more popular sessions headed to the big rooms, etc…).
